Main Purpose of Job
Providing HVAC services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at the job site.
Main Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in Chillers, and heating/air conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial chillers according to manufacturer’s specifications and local codes
- Fabricates equipment parts for the purpose of meeting specialty needs and/or replacing unavailable parts.
- Perform regular maintenance on all assigned equipment, including but not limited to oil changes, filter changes, belt replacements, and general cleaning, Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner, troubleshooting problems and making necessary repair
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections on air conditioning chillers to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Tasks may include cleaning coils, replacing filters, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating moving parts, and calibrating controls.
- Installs/Replacement of parts of chillers and air conditioning equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities
- Monitoring the operation of chillers and cooling towers to ensure that they are operating within safe limits
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of chillers and HVAC systems
- Repairs Chillers and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, Split, DX, chillers, piping, control devices water, and refrigerant side, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a comfortable work environment.
- Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring the availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.
- Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
- Prepares written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, operational log, monitoring chiller, Plants, pumps, PPM/CM reports, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information
- Assume other duties as may be assigned by your Line Manager.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- At least a vocational diploma/ ITI in reputed institution
- Technical training in HVAC, or OEM training certificate for chillers
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with various levels of staff
- Should possess minimum of 3 years GCC experience
- Should posses minimum of 5 years FM industry experience
- Holding HSE certifications are an advantage
- Should be hands on in electrical and HVAC systems troubleshooting
